We are currently recruiting for a Financial Accountant to join a leading investment group in Cape Town. This is a unique opportunity that goes beyond traditional accounting, combining financial reporting with transformation, B-BBEE scorecard management, procurement governance, and stakeholder engagement.
About the Role
As Financial Accountant, you will play a key role in:
Driving transformation reporting and managing the B-BBEE scorecard process.
Overseeing financial accounting for empowerment entities, trusts, and SPVs.
Managing procurement governance, vendor onboarding, and compliance with group policies.
Supporting broker reporting, commission sharing agreements, and portfolio allocations.
Collaborating with auditors, trustees, vendors, and internal teams to ensure accuracy and transparency.
Contributing to process improvements, automation, and efficiency initiatives.
What We’re Looking For
Relevant qualification (BCom/Business Science with finance focus).
3–6 years’ proven experience in a finance role (financial services industry advantageous).
Strong technical accounting skills, including preparation of AFS, budgets, reconciliations, and tax submissions.
Experience in B-BBEE reporting and verification processes (advantageous).
Exposure to procurement governance, vendor onboarding, and TPRM (advantageous).
Advanced MS Excel skills and proficiency in MS Office.
Strong analytical ability, attention to detail, and stakeholder management skills.
A genuine passion for transformation and social upliftment.
