Tender & Fleet Administrator (Electrical / Construction Industry exp essential)

Location: Northern Suburbs

Salary: R 16 000 – R 18 000 per month

We are seeking a Tender & Fleet Administrator with experience in the Electrical or Construction Industry to join the team. If you have a keen eye for detail, excellent analytical skills, and a passion for administration, we want to hear from you!

The role of the Tender Administrator is to provide data that will assist in making well-informed decisions and successful Electrical Tenders.

Duties will include but not limited to:

Gathering information necessary to prepare accurate tenders and quotations.

The ability to work with numbers & spreadsheets.

Key Responsibilities – Tenders:

Collect quotes from subcontractors, manufacturers, and suppliers.

Prepare and submit RFIs.

Attend tender clarification meetings as needed.

Collaborate with engineers on project specifications.

Review and negotiate offers and quotes.

Prepare tender documents.

Analyze data and monitor monthly spend on labor and materials.

Prepare detailed reports on current projects.

Visit sites to measure and quantify.

Prepare variation orders.

Measure and prepare contract/site instructions.

Mark up drawings for as-built purposes.

Key Responsibilities – Fleet:

Control and monitor a medium-sized fleet.

Track and report vehicle movement.

Conduct regular vehicle inspections.

Manage vehicle maintenance and ensure fleet appearance meets company standards.

Handle vehicle licensing, registration, and traffic offences.

Maintain the daily vehicle tracker for approximately 20 vehicles.

Oversee repairs and maintenance of vehicles.

Take deliveries at the office occasionally.

Manage tools and create a tool register.

Maintain a small store at the office.

Assist the Construction Department as needed, including sourcing materials, assisting with plans, preparing as-built plans, and handover files, and measuring on-site or on plan.

Minimum Education and Experience:

Matric

Diploma

Relevant work experience – minimum 2 years in a similar environment

Proficiency in Excel
