A leading short‑term insurance provider is seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager to manage, develop, and grow a designated panel of brokers.
This role is focused on retaining existing business, generating new opportunities, and achieving sales and profitability targets.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement a business plan that identifies market opportunities and growth potential.
Produce a sales plan to identify, develop, and manage prospects effectively.
Underwrite and accept risks within delegated authority to ensure sound implementation of business.
Achieve Gross Written Premium (GWP) and profitability targets by growing and retaining broker relationships.
Track productivity levels and ensure adherence to regional sales plans.
Deliver superior client service by working closely with brokers to understand and meet their business needs.
Strategically analyse broker business plans to identify and develop future opportunities.
Influence and grow the broker panel to achieve business development targets.
Ensure compliance with technical and operational underwriting standards, governance, and risk management.
Requirements
Degree or National Diploma in a relevant field.
FAIS compliant.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in the short‑term insurance industry.
Proven track record in sales and business development, with strong presence in the broker community.
